Teacher Appreciation Week
May 2-6, 2022
Looking for some ways to say "thank you" to our amazing teachers, staff and administrators?
Read on for five fun ideas--and feel free to post YOUR great ideas on our Facebook page @HuffakerHawks!
#1 Write a thank you note
Sometimes, the simplest act is also the most meaningful. Ask your child to write a thank you card or draw a picture for their teacher.
You can send it to school directly or take a photo and email it. Click here for a list of Huffaker teacher, staff and administrator email addresses.

#2 Gift an item from their Amazon Wish List
Click on each teacher's name to visit their Wish List page. Easily purchase requested items and ship them directly to the recipient. Don't forget to include a gift receipt so they know who sent it!

Keep checking back--we will add Wish List links as we receive them!

#3 Make a video thank you
Record a short video of your child explaining what they appreciate most about their teacher or their favorite memory from the school year. Send the video via email.

#4 Say "lunch is on us"
Treat your teacher to lunch from their favorite restaurant by sending them an e-gift card to a food delivery service like Grubhub or DoorDash.
Or, consider a gift card for a coffee shop, retail store or pampering service. The options are endless, and most can be purchased online and emailed directly to the recipient.

#5 Talk via sidewalk chalk (with the Hawks!)
Students, families and members of the Huffaker community are encouraged to decorate the sidewalks in front of Huffaker with colorful thank you messages or drawings honoring our fantastic teachers, staff and administrators during Teacher Appreciation Week.
PTA will make chalk available at the entrance gates--or bring your own chalk and join in the fun!
